This tutorial goes over different techniques and things to think about when kerning type inside Adobe Illustrator. This techniques include outlining then moving the type around in a standard way, using tracking to adjust individual letters, as well as a tool called distribute spacing using the align tool.

I tried to cover a lot of the ways that I kern type, and a few important things to consider. As always practice makes perfect, and having other people look at what you do and give you their perspective is always helpful.
