This tutorial is very beginner friendly and it goes over the basics of how to create a simple type driven design for t-shirts inside Adobe Illustrator.

This tutorial covers many of the basics you'll need to learn in order to create type driven designs inside Adobe Illustrator including kerning, leading, formatting, and various tool tips and tricks to help you work faster! Adobe Illustrator is a preferred format for many t-shirt printers as the quality is always super high, so if you're interested in designing t-shirts, it's a great tool to learn about and become comfortable with.
