This Adobe Illustrator Tutorial covers an important aspect for mastering the basics of the program, and that's learning all of the options that the stroke window gives you.

Although at first glance the stroke window may appear to be fairly basic in what it allows you to do, once you expand the window and view all of the options you'll see there there is actually a ton of really cool stuff that you're able to do.

You can do much more than just change the size of the stoke, you can change the way the stroke behaves, what sort of caps and corners it has, give it dashed or dotted lines, as well as change the profile of the lines or add arrows.
