How to Simplify Paths by Reducing Points in Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

January 5, 2020

This Adobe Illustrator tutorial goes over how you can simplify the amount of points that are used in the paths for your objects & illustrations inside the program! I cover both the simple way of accomplishing this, and also more advanced options if you want even more control over how your object is simplified.

Simplifying the paths on objects is often most important when you're dealing with very complex images that can have thousands of points, which can lead to Illustrator crashing or running more slowly than is ideal. Simple is often good, but I also show what can happen if you over simplify and lose some of the fidelity of your image. Have any questions about what you've seen in the video? Feel free to leave a comment!
